What we collect

We collect only what’s needed to provide the App, validate premium access, and enforce a fair-use daily quota: (a) device identifier (e.g., ANDROID_ID or generated UUID) to track daily quota; (b) Firebase ID token to protect API access; and (c) purchase/entitlement metadata via RevenueCat.

How we use your information

To provide core features (joseki suggestions, daily limits), verify premium, prevent abuse, improve reliability and security, and fulfill legal obligations. Daily quota is stored as a single per-device record for the current day and is overwritten when a new day begins.

Legal bases

Depending on your region: performance of a contract, legitimate interests (security/fraud prevention/fair use), consent (where required), and legal obligations.

Sharing and processors

We use service providers as processors: Google Firebase/Google Cloud (Firestore, Cloud Run, auth/logging) and RevenueCat (subscription management). Data may be disclosed if required by law or to protect rights and security.

International transfers

Infrastructure may be located in Asia-Pacific or other regions. Appropriate safeguards are used for cross-border transfers, where required.

Data retention

Daily quota: current-day only (overwritten next day). Purchase/entitlement records: retained as needed for access and compliance. Server logs: retained for a limited period (e.g., 30–90 days) unless longer is required.

Security

We apply reasonable safeguards (TLS, token verification, access controls), but no method is 100% secure.

Children’s privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, consent withdrawal, and data portability.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy and will revise the Effective date above. We may also notify you in-app where appropriate.
